Kendall County, Illinois, a DEVNET client since 2006, has added The Edge™ Vital Records software to its current suite of DEVNET products, which includes integrated Edge™ CAMA, Property Tax Assessment Administration, Billing & Collection, and wEdge e-government solutions.
“Kendall County needed to upgrade its old system, which was not compatible with the newest version of windows,” said Debbie Gillette, Kendall County Clerk and Recorder. “The DEVNET Vital Records system will be easy for staff to use and learn. We are able to use our current server as well as our current scanner, so that helped us keep the cost to the county down.”
The DEVNET Edge™ Vital Records solution provides everything the Recorder needs to efficiently and effectively manage vital records. This solution offers a feature-rich indexing and imaging environment. Vital Records Indexing and Retrieval:
- Allows indexing of birth, death, and marriage records.
- Contains extensive genealogy features that automatically build family history by linking related vital records.
- Allows indexing, reporting, and publication of marriage licenses.
- Includes extensive inquiry capabilities.
- Produces a variety of elegant forms.
“We currently use DEVNET for the property tax cycle and have been happy with the service they provide,” Gillette noted. “We are confident that we will be receive excellent training, and DEVNET will be accessible if we have any questions or concerns once the program is implemented.”
