DEVNET, Inc., is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Varner has joined the DEVNET sales team as a new Sales Manager.
Jeff is currently a member of the Swatara Township Board of Commissioners in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania and will continue serving in this capacity. Prior to making the decision to join DEVNET, Jeff served as the Deputy Director of Communications and Special Assistant to the Lieutenant Governor in the Lieutenant Governor’s Office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
In his new role at DEVNET, Jeff is responsible for lead generation and managing the sales effort throughout Pennsylvania and other assigned territories. “I’m excited to be a member of the DEVNET team and look forward to building long-term client relationships,” Jeff said. “I embrace the opportunity to provide local government leaders with DEVNET products that will empower them to provide solutions as they serve the public.”
During his four years with the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, Jeff developed relationships across the entire state of Pennsylvania. He visited every county numerous times and worked together with state and local leaders on a wide range of issues. The Lieutenant Governor was chairman of the Local Government Advisory Committee that met regularly with various public officials across the Commonwealth to discuss how the state could better meet the needs of local governments. Jeff, as a staffer, gained unique insight into county government operations and established extensive associations.
As a Swatara Township commissioner, Jeff is currently Chairman of the Codes Committee and serves on the Recreation Committee and the Contract Negotiation Committee. He has strengthened his relationships with local government leaders and has experienced firsthand how government efficiency benefits the public.
Dauphin County has been a DEVNET client since 2005, and it was through the county that Jeff was introduced to DEVNET. “It has been evident that DEVNET takes pride in and places importance on the relationships it forms,” he noted. “DEVNET is an industry leader that has a commitment to continuously improve its product and services.
