DEVNET’s Field Data Collection application is designed to be the key component of DEVNET’s mobility solutions. Field Data Collection, or FDC, is designed to run on a Tablet PC, though it runs equally well on desktop PCs or standard laptops. FDC is built using Windows’ Ink controls for best interoperability with a tablet. FDC currently integrates with Apex® Medina, and Apex® Mobile Sketch.
All DEVNET applications can be run on a Tablet PC or laptop, but only FDC is designed to make use of Windows’ Ink controls and Apex® Mobile Sketch.
Mobile Office
Take the Office to the Field, Bring the Field to the Desktop
DEVNET and Yotta have partnered to offer the state-of-the-art Property Information Collection System (PICS) to DEVNET clients. The Mobile Office application provides the ability to maintain the image database developed by the Yotta MVS field data verification service or for some jurisdictions to develop their own.
Mobile Office is a field acquisition, verification and routing application allowing you to take tools previously confined to your office desktop with you into the field. This includes mapping/GIS, imaging, appraisal data, and parcel review lists with GPS support.
State-Of-The-Art Field Appraisal Aid
The Mobile “O” application allows the user to extract a subset of data for field verification. While in the field, the user captures a digital image of the property, assigns an x-y coordinate, reviews data, and is able to query the application by CAMA data, GPS point, address or parcel number. Upon returning to the office, the user adds the image x-y coordinate and field notes to the image database through a dedicated data upload utility. The Mobile “O” application is an excellent map/routing tool, providing the user with the vehicle location and desired parcel location projected onto an electronic map.

Mobile “O” Features
Digital Street-View Image Capture/Collection, Address Verification, Pinpoint Structure Locations
Existing street view photos, CAMA data, GIS shape files and ortho-photography imagery to the field
Map routing tool to plot location of vehicle and location of parcel
In-field analysis of property characteristics and identification of outliers
Mobile Office Software
The main Mobile Office window consists of three primary views selectable by the tabs on the left-hand side: Map, Parcels, and Images. Optionally, you can display all three views at once by un-checking Tabbed View under the Options menu.
The Map View is a user-friendly desktop GIS application that provides for the visual analysis and display of parcel data, attribute data, images and maps to reveal neighborhood trends, out-of-range properties, or graphical representation of any information contained within the selected data set.
The map supports ESRI shape files and geo-referenced images. You may add any available map layers from the Add Map or Add Ortho items under the File menu or by clicking the Open tool. Note, to enable some of the features of Mobile Office such as: selecting parcels on the map, review code highlighting and value rendering, a parcel polygon layer is required. However, Mobile Office is designed to allow you to use it without a parcel layer, while still providing ways of identifying parcel locations on the map.
The Parcel View allows the user to print reports, analyze and query the database by parcel number or other data from the database system such as owner name, address, or property attributes.
The Image Editor provides the user with the features to update and maintain the image database, add new records for new or existing parcels and/or delete records from existing parcels.
